Melting Mountains Finissage: In conversation with Tobias Sauter, Adnan & Nina Softić

Theresa Schubert welcomes three discussion partners to the finissage on May 5: Professor Dr. Tobias Sauter, geologist at the Humboldt University of Berlin and expert in glacier research, will provide an in-depth insight into the scientific background. The artist duo Adnan & Nina Softić developed the musical instrument „Klimaton“ in 2020, which converts the research data of an Arctic expedition into sound. The result is a large-scale, musical portrait of a changing landscape. This event, on May 5th, is part of the supporting program accompanying Theresa Schubert‘s exposition „Melting Mountains“, which features works addressing climate change and glacier melting, fostering a new sensitivity towards environmental issues at the intersection of art and science.
