I am a portrait painter working in oils. My primary aim is to capture the immediacy of human emotion and to connect the onlooker with the inner world of the sitter. Through facial expressions which reveal vulnerable honesty and intimate moments of non-verbal self-disclosure, I explore the act of seeing and being seen.
